Hi all, and welcome back to rumblewrites. As promised, here is a list of magazines and competitions with deadlines in August.

This post is part of a series where I publish a curated list of writing opportunities, with the aim of simplifying the process for those who want to see their work published. These will be dropping into your inbox on the first of every month for the foreseeable future.

I try to include as much information as I can, but I may have missed something. Please double-check the submission guidelines.

This list may be shorter than those you’ve seen elsewhere. This is because:

1. Long lists are overwhelming, and don’t save you time searching

2. I only include quality magazines. These are journals I read, use, or have checked myself. There’s a good mix in here, but if you think I’ve missed something good, leave me a comment and I’ll check it out
